Go Gleeks!

Just when I thought things couldn’t possibly get better, Glee outdid itself with the pilot episode of Season 2.

There are some new faces wandering the halls of McKinley. One of those is Sunshine Corazon! This exchange student may have jumped ship for Vocal Adrenaline before she even gave New Directions a try, but she’s still number one in my heart. Played by pint-sized, Oprah-approved, YouTube-adored vocal powerhouse Filipino Charice Pempengco.

Charice plays Sunshine Corazon, a new exchange student that might give Rachel Berry a run for her money this season. During the episode, Charice performed a duet with Lea Michele on the pop hit "Telephone." If I may say so, their version was even better than the original.

Charice said the following to MTV about her new role on Glee: "It was like three months ago, and my mom and I were talking about it, and so she talked to my manager. 'Glee' is my favorite show, and so we tried. We talked to Ryan Murphy. I sang for him but I never expected that I would be a part of it. And I found out on Twitter. I was like, 'This is not true,' so after 30 minutes, I got an e-mail from them saying, 'Congratulations.'"

How I wish I can also get life changing news via Twitter…

I managed to watch the 2nd episode earlier (Britney episode). I was really touched when Rachel sang to Finn “The Only Exception”.

The Only Exception

When I was younger
I saw my daddy cry
And curse at the wind
He broke his own heart
And I watched
As he tried to reassemble it

And my momma swore that
She would never let herself forget
And that was the day that I promised
I'd never sing of love
If it does not exist

But darling,
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception

Maybe I know, somewhere
Deep in my soul
That love never lasts
And we've got to find other ways
To make it alone
Keep a straight face

And I've always lived like this
Keeping a comfortable, distance
And up until now
I had sworn to myself that I'm
Content with loneliness

Because none of it was ever worth the risk

Well, You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception

I've got a tight grip on reality
But I can't
Let go of what's in front of me here
I know you're leaving
In the morning, when you wake up
Leave me with some kind of proof it's not a dream

Ohh

You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception

And I'm on my way to believing
Oh, And I'm on my way to believing

I think I should start writing again

all seasons in one day

Life is starting to get difficult.

I don’t know why. It’s probably because I have gotten old, I have lost my emotional outlets, or probably, I’m just plain bored and somewhat unhappy with my life.

Lately I am beginning to feel like I am living for people around me – and not for me. The same old routine, day in day out is beginning to wear me out.

I either spend my days off doing the laundry or sleeping. Both of which, I swear, is unhealthy. I should start doing something for myself.

I remember I used to get manis and pedis every fortnight. I had regular facial appointments every payday. I buy shoes monthly. My collection of bags ranged from black to orange. I think the only color I didn’t have was green.  My, those were the days!

I think it’s time for me to start taking care of “ME” again.
