Moody Me

all seasons in one day

Tatluhan yun.

During the weekend pa ha."

Nagpanting ang tenga ko. Tama ba na iannounce sa lahat? Sumagot ako. Malakas din ang boses.

"Hindi ko naman dinedeny na absent ako. Pasensya ka na ha. Buntis kasi ako. Sumasama ang pakiramdam."

Sumagot pa rin ang Bearwin. "But you were absent."

I am trying so hard not to feel bad, dahil alam ko mararamdaman din ito ni Tyler. Pero nahihirapan ako. I keep thinking "I must have done something really bad in the past to be this miserable".

Tyler is now 21 weeks old

Kicking all the time. Having difficulties sleeping.

How your baby's growing:

Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you're having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well.

How your life's changing:

You're probably feeling pretty comfortable these days. You're not too big yet, and the usual discomforts associated with early pregnancy are, for the most part, gone. If you're feeling good, relax and enjoy it while you can — the third trimester may bring with it a new crop of complaints.

That's not to say you won't have some minor glitches to deal with now. For example, increased oil production may contribute to the development (or worsening) of acne. If that's the case, be diligent about washing well with a gentle soap or cleanser twice a day, and make sure that any moisturizer or make-up you use is oil-free. Don't take any oral acne medications — some are very hazardous during pregnancy — or use any topical acne products without first checking with your practitioner.

You're also more prone to varicose veins now. As your pregnancy progresses, there's increasing pressure on the veins in your legs; higher progesterone levels, which may cause the walls of your veins to relax, can make the problem worse. You're more likely to get varicose veins if other family members have them. Also, they tend to get worse with each successive pregnancy and as you age. To help prevent or minimize varicose veins, exercise daily, prop up your feet and legs whenever possible, sleep on your left side, and wear maternity support hose.

You may also notice so-called spider veins (a group of tiny blood vessels near the surface of your skin), particularly on your ankles, legs, or face. They may have a spider- or sunburst-like pattern with little branches radiating out from the center, they may look like the branches of a tree, or they may be a group of separate thin lines with no particular pattern. Though they may be a bit unsightly, spider veins don't cause discomfort and usually disappear after delivery.

Fetal development - 20 weeks!

Congratulations -- you are halfway through your pregnancy! You're probably feeling wonderful now that you've regained your energy. Finally people are beginning to notice that you are indeed pregnant, as your uterus pushes your abdomen out at the belly button. The uterus now reaches the level of the umbilicus (plus or minus a fingersbreadth). Your care provider has probably been measuring the level of your fundus, or top of the uterus, with a tape measure. It should now be approximately 18 to 22 cm. if you are having one baby and your dates are accurate. Your abdomen may start to itch a bit as stretching occurs. Let your care provider know about this even if though it's probably perfectly normal. (Better to be safe ...)

It is now possible to hear your baby's heartbeat with a special stethoscope, called a Delee stethoscope. Some providers begin to use this type of listening device instead of a doppler. It may now be possible for your partner to hear your baby's heartbeat by placing his or her ear against your bare lower abdomen. If you can't hear it right away, try the other side. Listen every day and you will be rewarded with a tiny, fast, rhythmic beat.

You may be having some trouble taking deep breaths on occasion, particularly if you are short in stature, or overweight. Call your care provider if you exhibit signs of asthma, such as coughing, wheezing when you exhale, or difficulty breathing at any time, especially during, or following, a cold or respiratory tract infection. One in every 100 women suffers from asthma during pregnancy. A recent study published in the British Medical Journal found that women with a history of asthma, who are pregnant with girls, were more likely to experience an increase in symptoms, possibly due to hormonal differences. Asthma can be easily treated, and medications safe for use during pregnancy are a vailable. If you have asthma, it is very important to get a prompt diagnosis so you can avoid distress and complications.

Your baby measures about 16.5cm from crown to rump and is steadily gaining weight. A whitish coat of a slick, fatty substance called vernix caseosa begins to cover your baby, protecting her skin during its long immersion in amniotic fluid. It also eases birth. Your baby's swallowing more this week, good practice for her digestive system. After your baby takes in amniotic fluid, her body absorbs the water in the liquid and moves the rest into her large bowel. In her bowel, a sticky by-product of her digestive system, called meconium, accumulates. It'll appear in her first nappy after she's born.

Mother's Day

Motherhood is tough 24 hour job,no pay,no day off, sometimes it is unappreciated, but yet resignation is impossible. A mother is a woman who created by God to bring love, joy, happiness and caring into his world. I am so glad God has created a woman to be a mother, even though motherhood is a full time job, a mother's work is never done.

Maybe it's because I am currently pregnant that is why I am more melancholy about the day. Yes, today is Mother's Day. One of the most important days of the year. After all, everyone has a mom, right?

I for one, do not have an ideal relationship with my mom. We constantly argue and bicker about inconsequential and trivial matters. Yet, I must admit that I was probably given her because she is the one that suits me best. We are both stubborn.

We always hear that nobody is perfect. Even if mothers are the equivalent of God in their kids' eyes, they do make mistakes. What we should remember is to take the good, and make sure we do better with our own kids.

To all the mothers, Happy Mother's Day!

By the way, thank you to the following people who greeted me:

Alvin and Ron

Fairy tales do come true

Fairy tale talaga sya. Isang "commoner" na pinakasalan ng prince. Ang galing.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

I really like Kate's wedding gown. Classic.

With the Royal family.

To the Royal couple, my best wishes. And may you live happily ever after.

Fetal development - 19 weeks pregnant

You're halfway there! The top of your uterus now reaches your belly button and will grow about a centimeter per week. The fetus measures around 6 inches/ 15 centimeters long from crown to rump and weighs about 9 ounces/ 240 grams.

She has started to swallow amniotic fluid, and her kidneys continue to make urine. Hair on the scalp is sprouting.

Sensory development reaches its peak this week. The nerve cells serving each of the senses - taste, smell, hearing, seeing, and touch - are now developing in their specialized areas of the brain. Nerve cell production slows down as existing nerve cells grow larger and make more complex connections. If you're carrying a baby girl, she already has roughly six million eggs in her ovaries. By the time she's born, she'll have about one million.

You may have felt the kicking and somersaulting of your growing baby. At times, you might find that she is so mobile that you can't sleep. The next ten weeks or so will be your baby's busiest and most active time, until the womb gets too crowded.

I am so sorry Charcoal...

all seasons in one day

"Charchar, magmumukha kang sheep mamaya.

Kaso, Disaster struck. Ayaw gumana ng razor kay Char. Syet.

I had no choice.

At least, presko diba?"

Panay ang iyak ni Char. Ayaw akong tignan.

I am really sorry Char. Hindi sinasadya ni Mommy. Promise, sa professional dog groomer na kita dadalhin next time.

A Love Story

all seasons in one day

What would you do if you met the woman of your dreams and wanted to make her your wife after you've married someone else? Ian Montes (Aga Muhlach) was the embodiement of success and despite being the son of a shipping tycoon, Ian refused to just ride the success of his father's empire. Instead, he built his own real estate company, where he earned his first million at a very young age and has never looked back since. Driven by the ambition to become as good, if not better than his father, Ian managed claw his way to the top and make it on his own. But behind the glorious facade was a broken man yearning for love and recognition, still scarred from when his mother abandoned them at the impressionable age of 17, compounded by his desire for his father's approval, Ian longed for someone who can and will love him unconditionally. Lightning struck twice when he met the two women who would change his life forever - Joanna Villanueva (Maricel Soriano) and Karyn Torres (Angelica Panganiban).

Joanna was the picture of quiet confidence and eminence. Although heartbroken herself from a failed marriage to an errant ex-husband, Joanna found love again when she rescued Ian from a water-skiing accident in La Union. Being a doctor by trade, she nurtured Ian and showered him with the love and attention he craved. With Joanna, Ian found the home he sorely missed in his youth and a life of bliss he never thought possible. But then came Karyn Torres, a vivacious flight attendant he met on a business trip to Macau. At twenty-four, she was the epitome of youthful sensuality and worldliness- with her, every moment Ian spent was filled with excitement and spontaneity, along with the realization that this was the life he's always wanted. So now, Ian is left with a choice... although through as painful as it maybe, Ian, Joanna and Karyn must learn the true meaning of unconditional love and forgiveness.
